PhillipsUniversity, a private university in Enid, Oklahoma, closed its doorsin 1998 due to financial difficulties. But now, thanks to a new program, Phillips Universitygraduates can replace lost diplomas easily.

Thenew program is being administered by the Enid Regional DevelopmentAlliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting economicgrowth in the Enid area. The program allows Phillips Universitygraduates to submit a request for a replacement diploma online. Theycan choose to receive a paper or electronic copy of their diploma,and they can also choose to have their diploma hand-delivered orshipped. There is a fee for this service, but it is reasonable and inline with what other universities charge for replacement diplomas.

Theprogram has been met with enthusiasm by Phillips University alumni.Many of them have expressed gratitude for the opportunity to replacelost diplomas easily and without hassle. Some have even sharedstories of their struggles to obtain replacement diplomas in thepast. For example, one alumna, who wished to remain anonymous, saidthat she had lost her diploma in a move and had been trying to obtaina replacement for years. She had reached out to the universitymultiple times, but never received a response. She was thrilled tolearn about the new program and immediately submitted a request for areplacement diploma.

Anotheralum, Brett Freeman, who graduated from Phillips in 1995, said thathe was excited to be able to replace his diploma easily. He said,"Phillips University was a special place, and it means a lot tome to have my diploma. I had lost my original diploma in a flood, andI had been meaning to replace it for years. But it always seemed liketoo much of a hassle. This new program makes it so easy. I justfilled out the form and paid the fee, and my new diploma wasdelivered to me in just a few weeks."

TheEnid Regional Development Alliance is pleased with the response tothe new program. Its president, Brent Kisling, said that theorganization wanted to do something to support Phillips Universityalumni. He said, "We know how important Phillips University isto people, and we wanted to make it as easy as possible for them toget replacement diplomas. We're thrilled with the response we'vereceived so far, and we're happy to be able to offer this service tothe alumni."
